Our Clients and Services

​

Coastal Psychiatric Urgent Care serves individuals age 5 and up. Our clients seek immediate mental health treatment and referrals because they do not have a local mental health provider, are unable to get a timely appointment with their established provider, or need a second opinion quickly. In addition to mental health difficulties, they may also experience problems related to substance use.

​

Similar to other types of urgent care, some individuals may choose to use our urgent care as their ongoing provider for medication management and therapy. Therapy is scheduled. Medication visits are walk-in only. 

​

All services are available via telemedicine. You do not need a specific link, email, text or password to receive virtual services. Just click one of the Enter Waiting Room buttons above and we will be with you shortly!

Individuals who have the following insurance plans can receive services at Coastal Psychiatric Urgent Care:

  • Aetna Commercial and Aetna Medicare

  • Anthem Commercial and Anthem Medicare

  • AvMed Commercial and AvMed Medicare

  • Devoted Health

  • Florida Blue Commercial and Florida Blue Medicare

    • BCBS from other states or federal plans may not be in-network

  • Florida Health Care Plan (FHCP) Commercial and FHCP Medicare

  • Humana Commercial and Human Medicare 

  • Optum Commercial and Optum Medicare

  • Florida Medicaid Gold Card

  • Straight Medicare (red, white & blue card with no advantage plan)

We are applying to become "in network" for for a few other insurance companies. We will keep you updated here and on social media as we receive approvals.

Clients who are willing to pay out of pocket can also receive services.

​

We CAN offer the following services:

​

  • Diagnostic interview and treatment planning

  • Medication evaluation

  • Medical follow-up visit

  • Individual, couples and family therapy

  • Grief and crisis counseling

  • Referrals/linkage to community resources​

​

We CANNOT offer services in the following circumstances:

​

  • Clients (or legal guardian) are unwilling or unable to consent to voluntary services.

  • Clients are actively suicidal or homicidal clients who have plans and intent to follow through with these thoughts. If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, please bypass our services go to the nearest hospital or call 9-1-1.   • Clients arrive intoxicated.

  • Clients who are seeking prescriptions for controlled substances such as Adderall or Xanax.​

Legal Consent for Service

​

We must have signed consent from the individual served or his/her legal guardian(s). If the legal guardian(s) cannot attend the appointment, we require verbal consent over the phone as well as an emailed or faxed written consent at the time of service. We are unable to provide certain services if verbal and written consent cannot be obtained at the time of service.

All services are offered in English.

Fraud/Waste Statement

​

Pursuant to x. 626.9892. the Department of Financial Services may pay rewards of up to $25,000 to persons providing information leading ot the arrest and conviction of persons committing crimes investigated by the Division of Investigative and Forensic Services arising from violations of s. 440.105., s. 626.9541, s. 626.989 or s. 817.234.

Pursuant to s. 627.736(5)(e)1., if the insured notifies the insurer of a billing error, the insured may be entitled to a certain percentage of a reduction in th amount paid by the insured's motor vehicle insurer.
